Zora Hits the Runway

It's that time again readers....

time for Bridal Market recap, of course!

For this market we decided to team up with designer Ines Di Santo to complete some of her fabulous new wedding gown ensembles for Spring/Summer 2014.

Her latest collection is full of beautiful, romantic looks. Whether you're looking for a simple, sweet look or for something more glamorous, there's a nice variety to go with your specific style.

Nature was the inspiration for one of the big trends seen across bridal market this season. Vine motifs, seen above in "Letitia" were also seen from designers like Marchesa and Pronovias. Zora cuff in silver completes this look quite nicely.

We are loving the simple and sophisticated silhouette of "Rachelle" paired with not one, but two Zora cuffs. This silk charmeuse skirt reminds us of one of Desla's most inspiring style icons.

The cascading crystals on this dress make it a perfect pairing for Desla accessories. And if you think your shoulders might get a bit chilly our Coleen cape would complete this special ensemble.

For a bride looking for a unique flare, Di Santo offers this asymmetrical capelet with a strapless, pleated mermaid gown. We are loving the textures here: pleated taffeta and crystals!

If you are looking for a romantic gown with a sweetheart neckline, look no further. Show off the graceful neckline and opt for a this art deco-inspired cuff by Desla instead of a necklace.

Finally, this classic trumpet gown is great for a bride looking to show off her figure. "Adeline" has beautiful beading at the waist and neckline, which makes a crystal Desla Cuff the perfect accessory.

Twist It, Braid it, Curl it

Hello sun! Hello warmth! You have finally decided to grace us with your presence here in NYC.

: : We're all ecstatic : :

The streets are filling with people and ice cream trucks are emerging from hibernation!

When it starts getting warm like this we love experimenting with different hairstyles and updos that will keep us feeling comfortable, chic, and beautiful. On your wedding day you want to be able to move freely, dance your heart out, and have the least amount of stress possible, right? The right updo will help you achieve these goals.

Here, we have paired some of our favorite hair styles with beautiful Desla earrings.

There are so many hair styles to choose from these days, with very subtle differences. Be sure to play with your hair and see which look works best with your type of hair. Take a classic style and make it your own, like the modified french twist seen above.

Also- make sure you are happy with your hairstyle from all angles, not just the side and back! If you're going for a low curly bun, add some finger waves to the front to keep it interesting throughout. Sparkly bronze tear drop earrings emphasize this glamorous look.

The braided crown is one of our favs here at Desla. There are many variations and possibilities with incorporating braids into your wedding day hair style, but this one is gaining a lot of popularity and is very easy to manage on your special day. The crystal trifecta on these earrings is very complimentary to this style.

You never thought you'd be wearing a sock on your head on your wedding day, did you?! Well with a few nifty flips and tucks you can have this spectacular bun on top of your head in no time. Check out this how-to video if you don't believe me... These circular, crystal embellished clip-on earrings would be a perfect match to your cinna-bun.

We love Martha Hunt, here, walking for Carolina Herrera's Fall 2013 RTW show at Lincoln Center. Her tight victory rolls would look great coming down the aisle with these vintage inspired tear-drop earrings.

So whether you plan on DIYing your wedding day hair, or hitting the salon, make sure you've got something sparkly on your ears to bring out your lovely locks.

Make it POP for Spring

Hey Beauties! Springtime is right around the corner and I absolutely cannot wait- who's with me here??

Instead of wearing the brights & florals that I normally rock at this wonderful time of year
I will be looking to my new favorite color combo: black&white.

Look to illustrious couture fashion designers who are embracing b&w color blocking, such as Céline, Dolce & Gabbana, and Jil Sander, for some inspiration. Then, throw a sophisticated, high contrast, vibrant wedding to remember! From invitations, to decorations, to wedding accessories everyone is experimenting and obsessing about this sophisticated trend in color... or lack there of.

We have been seeing this color scheme all over the place. People are creating amazing designs and settings for weddings in black&white. SO, we decided to do an entire Desla collection of couture wedding accessories in black and white.

Hunting for a Winning Look

Helen Hunt hit the red carpet on Sunday at the 85th Academy Awards in a stunning, yet surprising look

And here's the best part -- Hunt is wearing an eco-friendly H&M dress

This is one of our favorite styling techniques at Desla Couture that we recommend to all of our Brides-to-be: start with a simple, flattering silhouette -- then spicing it up with dazzling jewels.

Hunt chose some spectacular Martin Katz jewelry to pair with her gown. Here are some Desla pieces that would have looked great with the silhouette of her dress:

And the kicker, one of our hottest new pieces from our new collection: a sparkly clutch.

You see, hunting for the winning look is totally possible and the best news -- affordable as well
